The Orust Sailboat Show with Open Yard / Öppet Varv takes place at Hallberg-Rassy. During the event, there will be free parking available at the yard´s own parking.
Ellös is located in the small village Ellös on the island Orust in the heart of the Swedish archipelago on the West Coast. Although we are located on an island, it is easy to get to us:

If you come from the south
Take the E6 motorway north, Gothenburg - Oslo
About 45 km north of Gothenburg, take the motorway exit marked Orust / Tjörn, road number 160
Follow the road about 25 km to Varekil. Turn left just before the Ingo gas station and you see the signs for Ellös. Continue the road for a further 19 km.
The road takes you to Ellös and in Ellös you will see the Hallberg-Rassy sign post.
If you follow your GPS, the street address is Hallberg-Rassyvägen 1, in 474 31 Ellös. Older maps may not yet have the road Hallberg-Rassyvägen, in such a case choose Hällavägen 6, 474 31 Ellös instead.
During the event, there will be parking hosts that help to show each car to an empty parking space.
If you come from the north
Take the E6 motorway south Uddevalla - Stenungsund - Gothenburg
About 7 km before Uddevalla you come to Torp shopping center. Follow the signs Orust on the right, road number 160.
In Henån there are 2022 two options:
- Turn right towards Ellös. Di not follow the coastroad that is closed 20-30 August 2022, but go via Göksäter. This road is a little narrow and winding but shorter, 20 km, than via Varekil, 31.5 km.
- Continue straight on towards Varekil for 25 km. At an Ingo gas station, turn right towards Ellös. Continue the road for a further 19 km. This road is wider, straighter and better, but a 11.5 km longer.
If you arrive by electric vehicle
If you arrive by electric vehicle, it is good to know there are both a fast charger near the Hemköp supermarket, 1 km from the yard area, as well as 3 phase outlets at the yard area.
If you arrive by own boat
The official Ellös guest harbour is located within easy walking distance. Info about the guest harbour and pre-booking is available following this link. The Open Yard marina, also the Hallberg-Rassy marina, is filled with yachts and cannot take any visiting boats during the event period.
