Invitation to a press conference on the situation in the boating industry and Open Yard/ÖppetVarv 2026

The press is hereby invited to a press breakfast on Friday, August 21 2026 at 9:30 in the harbour area at Open Yard/Öppet Varv, Hallberg-Rassyvägen 1, in Ellös, West Sweden. The press conference is being held jointly by the Swedish boating industry association Sweboat, and the organizer of Open Yard/Öppet Varv, Hallberg-Rassy Varvs AB. The theme will be both the situation in the boating industry and the Open Yard/Öppet Varv fair with a presentation of all the premieres at the fair.

Öppet Varv is organized by Hallberg-Rassy in Ellös on island Orust and will take place on August 21-23 2026, this year for the 33nd consecutive year. The show will have well over one hunderd boats exhibited and also ashore there will be even more yachting equipment to see than in 2025. 

On Saturday evening, August 22 2026, there will be a lecture that requires registration and is on the theme of long-distance sailing. This years lecture holder will be Helena Schneider, who crossed the Atlantic solo, both ways in her 31-footer.

There will be three outlets where you can find yachting clothes and boat equipment. And 16 boats from 34 to 69 feet in production in the boatyard. The harbour area will be home to new motorboats and sailboats, used sailboats and motorboats, classic boats and try-out sailing.

There will be live music on Friday evening and Saturday evening.

There is a wide selection of Food Trucks.

Free admission and free parking in the fair's own parking lot
